Our colleague cycles for Help for Heroes

On Saturday 27 September, our Office Manager Lynn and her friend Jane will be in the Matalan Retail store in Salisbury cycling on the turbo trainer in preparation for the Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2015 (BBBR).

“This will be the first in many fundraising events we will do, to help us achieve our target of raising £5,000 for the Help for Heroes charity.” Says Lynn.

BBBR is the original Help for Heroes fundraiser & signature challenge. The route will follow a World War 2 theme as it takes the riders on a challenging journey as they ride from Paris to Windsor through Normandy taking in the D-Day beaches. A total of 350 miles between 14 and 21 June 2015.

Lynn says about the challenge: ”It will be five years next year since I took park in the Help for Heroes Nepal Trek around the foothills of the Himalayas and here I am in training to do another challenge. I’ll be cycling from Paris to Cherbourg, culminating in the Hero Ride into Windsor. Our route will be challenging, taking us through some tough undulating French countryside.” Lynn continues: “I’ll be cycling alongside wounded, injured and sick heroes who are truly inspirational people. I’ll think twice about moaning about my sore body!”

If you’d like to sponsor Lynn & Jane and show your support for the work that Help for Heroes does for our wounded Servicemen and women and their families, you can make a donation here:
