This standard covers the competences you need to contribute to post-disposal tasks for explosive substances and/or articles in accordance with approved procedures and practices.
You will be required to demonstrate that you can carry out final post-disposal checks as directed, using the equipment, consumables and services correctly during post-disposal tasks in accordance with approved procedures.
This activity is likely to be undertaken by someone whose work role involves Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions or Explosives work activities. This includes people working as disposal operators and general explosives workers.
P1 work safely at all times, complying with health and safety, environmental and other relevant regulations, legislation and guideline
P2 carry out final post-disposal checks as directed
P3 use the equipment, consumables and services correctly during postdisposal tasks
P4 maintain the equipment in accordance with your organization’s procedures
P5 remediate the work environment as directed, disposing of residues and products within the limits of your responsibility
P6 report faulty equipment in accordance with your organisation’s procedures and/or the manufacturer’s instruction
P7 report the data and information as directed
P8 report any problems beyond your level of authority to the appropriate person
