Overview

This standard comprises the following elements:

1. Assess the effectiveness of results in meeting research objectives for explosive substances and/or articles.
2. Document research and findings on explosive substances and/or articles.

This activity is likely to be undertaken by someone whose work role involves Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions or Explosives work activities. This includes people working as research leaders, design managers and development managers.

Performance Criteria

1. Assess the effectiveness of results in meeting research objectives for
explosive substances and/or articles
P1 work safely at all times, complying with health and safety, environmental and other relevant regulations, legislation and guidelines
P2 confirm that the results have been validated
P3 interpret the results using valid and consistent methods
P4 ensure that the interpretation of the results is logical and objective
P5 evaluate the conclusions of the research in comparison with the original objectives
P6 identify any area(s) in which the research fails to meet its objectives
P7 explain any identified causes for failure
P8 present your recommendations for areas of further work
