EX TIGER FELIX JUMP 23

Personnel from 11 EOD & S Regiment recently deployed on exercise Tiger Felix Jump, a skydiving expedition to California, USA.

The aim of this exciting trip was to qualify as A license skydivers – which allows individuals to jump on their own with no instructors. This was achieved using the Accelerated Freefall course which consisted of 8 levels of jumping, ranging from two instructors at the start to finishing the course and jumping on your own. A further 10 consolidation jumps are then required to become a licensed skydiver.

ISSEE Delivers Training for the Royal Navy of Oman

In the last three weeks, we had students from the Royal Navy of Oman attend our Explosive Storage & Area Management Course.

This course covered topics such as Explosive Storage Inspections, Safety & Control of Explosive Areas, Principles of Explosive Storage, and Explosive Legislation & Safety Requirements.

It was our pleasure to be able to present them with their hard earned certificates

They left with a more comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices of day to day explosive storage management.

 

 

ISSEE Provides ANAMA EOD Training

Throughout February and March, ISSEE delivered EOD Level 3 and 3+ training to the Deminers of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA). The course built upon existing skills and experience of making safe Explosives Remnants of War (ERW) in a post conflict situation but also introduced the students to IEDs and Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) Clearance amongst other new skills conducted.

 

EOD Training

Graduates from our recent International Ammunition Technican Course

We recently had three students from the UAE Military graduate on our flagship International Ammunition Technician course. This course lasted for 24 weeks, and the students learnt how to safely identify, handle, repair, store, manage and dispose of munitions and explosive nature. They know have the knowledge, skills, and practice to safely undertake the duties of an Ammunition Technician.

We are excited to announce that our popular, entry-level courses are now available through online learning.

Students wishing to join our Explosives Foundation Course (EFC) or our Explosives Storage Management Course (ESM) can now enrol online and complete all learning modules at their own pace through our secure learning management platform and still achieve an accredited qualification through SQA.

Logistic Management courses are approved by the Institute of Leadership and Management

ISSEE’s latest qualifications have been approved as meeting the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) Standard.

The Logistic Management programme has been recognised as a pathway grading to Associate Membership with the Institute of Leadership & Management on completion, providing learners with professional recognition related to their leadership learning and an ongoing commitment to continue to develop as effective leaders and to inspire others to achieve excellence. 

ISSEE releases full range of courses accredited by SQA

Providing academically accredited Counter Terrorism, Explosives and Security training

ISSEE continues to work in a unique partnership with the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) and has recently expanded the list of SQA-accredited courses to include the whole range of core training courses.

The SQA began working with ISSEE in September 2018, when they placed Explosives Storage Management and Security training courses on the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), formally allocating SCQF levels and credits to these qualifications.
